Seychelles Participated In The Jakarta Metropolitan Police Diplomatic Community Forum

Following the invitation of the Chief of Jakarta Metropolitan Police to The Consulate of Seychelles to take part in the Diplomatic Community Meeting on December 21, 2010; The Honorary Consul of Seychelles paid courtesy to Inspector General Sutarman, The Police Chief of Jakarta Metropolitan City on Januay 24, 2011 to convey the gratitude of the government of Seychelles for the initiative taken by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police in providing security and professional assistance to foreign mission in Jakarta.
During the meeting Hon.Consul Nico Barito, brief The Jakarta Police Chief about Seychelles, its tourism and how Seychelles as world destination tourism value security for its people and for all visitors and tourist that come to Seychelles.
Nico Barito also highlighted on the role of Seychelles in counter piracy for maritime security and how police from Indonesia and Seychelles may interact in securing the coastline of Indonesian archipelago.Other subject discussed range from technology on safety and security, both for the police use or public services. In closing Mr. Barito extends the kind invitation to Jakarta Metropolitan Police to visit Seychelles.
