BINUS University Bina Nusantara University in Jakarta opens up possibility to collaborate with Tourism in Seychelles. BINUS, a private university distinctive in computer technology and information, has 26 years of successful experience to serve education to national and international community from pre-school to higher education. The new hotel management department is looking for students exchange programs with Seychelles.
H.E.Nico Barito, Consul of Seychelles has visited BINUS campus at Jakarta on August 18, 2010 for social visit to the Rector and CEO of BINUS. During the exposure about Seychelles, Mr.Nico Barito pointed on the essence of IT to the tourism information communication and the effective system of marketing and operation of tourism industry, culinary and culture.
Mr.Barito who is also the Board of Advisor at Seychelles University noticed the emerging growth of IT based creative business in Asia and Indonesia. He is looking for the possibility to introduce this endeavor to Africa through Seychelles by developing a strategic partnership with BINUS.
Mr Wajay Wiroto, Vice Rector of BINUS and Mr Bernard Gunawan, CEO of BINUS expressed their interest to work with Seychelles by partnership with University of Seychelles. The meetings was also attended by senior officials of BINUS Mrs.Hera Oktadiana, Mrs.Papita Gunawan and lecturer Mr.Maudhy Setiawan. BINUS and Consulate of Seychelles in Jakarta will enter preliminary MoU by October 2010 and identify technical team to elaborate on  the strategic partnership.
